Volunteer Opportunities

Ready to get involved?—Here’s how!

Open Volunteer Day

Join us one Saturday morning a month to volunteer at the farm, starting in May, from 9 - 12. This is a great introduction to our two farm sites and our work creating a more equitable, sustainable food system.

Tasks include weeding, hoeing, building garden beds, moving wood chips and mulch, and turning compost. Get to know our staff and get your hands in the soil!

Supervised children are welcome to these monthly events.

Farm Tonic

Fight the “Sunday Scaries” once a month at this farm-based afternoon-into-evening volunteer gathering. Get your hands dirty and deny that Monday exists while you help us shape up our education and demonstration gardens.

Farm Tonic is geared towards adults.

Corporate Volunteer Day

Arcadia staff will introduce you to the hows and whys of sustainable agricultural practices and share our program areas and mission, including food access, healthy food production, and veteran farmer training. We will provide drinking water, tools, gardening gloves, instruction, and oversight while volunteers engage in seasonally appropriate work that supports our mission

We can accommodate up to 25 volunteers per day
