Farm-to-School School-to-Farm
Children joyfully discover their love of fruits, vegetables, and gardening in Arcadia's immersive, hands-on educational programs, on our farm and in school and community gardens.

Arcadia Field Trip curriculum is centered around Fairfax County's Standards of Learning (SOLs) to ensure that what your students learn at the farm can be brought back to the classroom!
Students will spend the day outside learning where their food comes from, tasting a variety of produce straight from the garden, and getting their hands dirty alongside our pollinators and compost companions!

Farm Camp
Farm Camp 2026 is all about FARM, FOOD, & FUN. That means learning where your food comes from and making delicious snacks with it! It also includes your classic summer camp experiences of group games led by amazing camp counselors, arts and crafts, talent shows, and so much more!
Farm Camp is a transformative opportunity for any child as it opens their horizons to the world of agriculture, environmental stewardship, and lasting friendships both on and off the farm.
The increased availability of cheap, processed foods and increasingly busy families that don’t have time to cook food from scratch means many people — particularly children — lack the opportunity to build their palates to appreciate healthy, wholesome foods, especially fruits and vegetables. Declining small, local farms and expansion of large, commercial farms means that fewer children understand how the food on their plates connects back to the earth.
Arcadia’s Farm and Nutrition Education goals:
-
Teach about sustainable and regenerative agriculture
-
Expose children to food at its source
-
Encourage children to try new and unfamiliar foods, while creating a connection between nutrition and where food comes from
-
Strike curiosity of the natural world and healthy ecosystems

Live Eat Grow (L.E.G)
